Initial situation

The challenge: 55,000 vouchers, 7 locations, 1 digital target.

The well-known Sacher companies were looking for
a new system to perfect the entire voucher handling process, from sales and administration
to redemption in the restaurants and hotels. A crucial aspect was the transfer of data from two existing voucher systems, which contained information on more than 55,000 vouchers from all seven locations. In addition, the project aimed to optimize internal data exchange in order to simplify accounting processes.

A versatile voucher system

The project included the implementation of a voucher portal system that connects all the different businesses. A stand-alone voucher world in its own premium version was developed to provide guests with a seamless and appealing shopping experience. In the Sacher voucher world, guests can purchase vouchers, package vouchers and gift cards easily and conveniently online. In addition to the stand-alone version, a digital value query and mixed dispatch for vouchers, gift cards and packages has also been implemented to offer guests the greatest possible flexibility. Processing is carried out via a central system that enables cross-company redemption.

Another focus of the project was the optimization of internal operational accounting and offsetting logic to facilitate the management of business partners and cooperations of Eduard Sacher GmbH. There was also a connection to the Simphony and BMD POS systems as well as to Opera’s Cloud PMS. The new system also offers a clear login structure with different roles and areas that are specially designed for internal direct sales on site

Conclusion

Sacher received an individual front end, a smooth migration of 55,000 old vouchers and optimized interfaces to Simphony, Opera and BMD. The result: doubled conversion in the store, simplified internal processes, better customer experience – a digital milestone for seven locations.
