In an era in which technology and digitalization are playing an increasingly important role, Silvretta Montafon is a pioneer in showing how digital change can be successfully implemented at a cross-company level. The comprehensive web relaunch of the resort, including a modern voucher system for the mountain railroad, marks a significant milestone in the digital transformation of the tourism industry.

The beginning of the digital transformation

At the start of the 2023/24 winter season, Silvretta Montafon launched an ambitious project to further develop its digital processes. Together with valantic Austria (formerly elements), the aim was to make it possible to experience and book all operational players online as a single entity. In collaboration with us, incert eTourismus, we succeeded in creating a seamless digital experience that gives you access to all of the resort’s offers. A highlight of this project is the integrated voucher system for the mountain railroad, which offers guests additional flexibility and convenience.

Digital innovation as the key to success

Over the last few years, Silvretta Montafon has continuously expanded its online offering. The final piece of the puzzle of this flagship project was implemented in 2024: A newly designed eCommerce process, the Experience Booking, merchandising store and the online sale of vouchers and gift gift cards vouchers and gift cards. The cross-company service sales, supported by incert eTourismus, and the customized design adaptation are based on the website designed by valantic Austria.

The integration of numerous interfaces to Silvretta Montafon’s cash register, payment and PMS systems has considerably simplified the redemption of vouchers and gift cards as well as the operational processes. The connection to Axess for tickets via API between incert and Pimcore played a decisive role, allowing you to book and redeem all offers online from a single source.

A seamless guest experience

The incert ticket system enables the digital sale of combined mountain experiences. The API link to Axess has modernized valantic Austria’s multi-shopping basket , making it possible to book combined tickets for various service modules such as uphill and downhill travel, catering and accommodation in a single shopping basket. Particularly noteworthy is the integrated voucher system for the mountain railroad, which offers additional convenience. With a customer account, you can conveniently manage your master data, tickets, orders, vouchers and other services.

The collaboration was exemplary and professional, from the conception to the project process. The relaunch has catapulted us a decisive step forward in terms of digitalization and brand positioning. Our wish for a new, modern e-commerce platform with the vision of process optimization was definitely fulfilled
