The need for a versatile voucher management system with strong automatisms for process optimization in the background was already apparent very early on at AREA 47. In addition to the primary goal of selling vouchers online 24/7 as an additional revenue driver, it was also necessary to link the voucher management system to the existing system landscape on site and combine it in a central store solution.

Vouchers & gift cards in combination: The basis of the current online store with individual setup & adaptation to the website was laid back in 2011. The system was later expanded with the gift card module.

Thanks to the interface to the Melzer checkouts, gift cards can be checked and validated directly at the checkout terminals. Sales, i.e. the loading of gift cards, is also possible via the cash registers. In addition, the integration with the CRM system “Salesforce” was carried out, which enables the redemption of vouchers in the online booking on the website.
